ABPF was started by José Moreno and Charles  Thomas, friends since college. Their pursuit of health and fitness began  then as they challenged each other to stay fit.  This friendly competition soon had them entering races, running obstacle courses and competing in fitness challenges. They began creating "abstract" workouts in which they, and a close circle of friends, challenged each other to be their best through a series of custom exercises.

Out of this pursuit grew a desire for workout gear that could keep up with their rigorous workouts, launder well and maintain it's good looks.  Abstract Performance was born.
